Approximately three years ago, my husband, Matthew Little (a fun loving 58 year old father of three and grandfather of eight), was diagnosed with kidney failure due to an underlying medical condition that is now under control.
Since that time, we have transitioned from an extremely active and adventurous lifestyle to dialysis and medical appointments which has been absolutely life changing.
Matthew is a man who has worked hard all his life, has always provided generously for his family and witnessing how he has been sidelined due to this illness is heartbreaking as Matt’s health has declined significantly over the last 3 years, and the longer he stays on dialysis, it will only continue to get worse.
A kidney transplant would enable Matthew to regain the strength to resume living his life to the fullest and get back to doing the things he loves best including spending quality time with his many grandchildren and continuing our adventures.
Our search for a living kidney donor for Matt has been overwhelming, but we are not giving up hope that we will find that special someone who could genuinely save Matt’s life.
