Finding Hope

I never thought I would have to write a post like this, and it’s one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to share. Life has brought me to a place where I need help; help that could truly change my life.
Last March I was diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease and need a transplant to have a chance at a heathier, fuller future. I am now searching for a living kidney donor. Asking for help like this feels scary and vulnerable, but hope matters more than fear right now. There are 90,000+ people waiting for a kidney; the wait for a deceased donor for me here in Pittsburgh is about 5 years. I know this is a huge thing to consider, so with a humble heart, I’m writing this with the hope that someone might be willing to learn more or at least share this post.
I am on the waiting list at The Cleveland Clinic and Allegheny General Hospital (AHN). If you think you would like to learn more information, you can contact The Cleveland Clinic 216-636-0834 (Monica Perez) my living donor coordinator or LivingKidneyDonorIntake@ccf.org 216-445-3150. My AGH living donor coordinator at 412-359-4441 (Cassidy); they would be happy to answer any questions openly and confidentially. If donating isn’t something you can do, please consider sharing this post. That simple act may help it reach the right person. No pressure, just hope.
Thank you for reading this and caring. I ask for your support, prayers, good thoughts, shares and your love.
